Make ringtones for iPhone
You should turn your computer on and run program iTunes. After that connect your iPhone to the computer. If you do not have iTunes on the computer, you should download it from http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
1. Choose the 'Music' menu in the upper-left corner of the iTunes screen and find the song that will be your own ringtone. To find the song faster, you can use the Search tool in the upper-right corner of the iTunes window. Just start typing the name of the song or the singer and you will see a list of the appropriate names or only one that answers to your search.
2. Right-click the name of the song and select 'Information'. After that click on the Parameters menu and select the part of the song, which you prefer to play. Type in the start time and the end time of your song. The ringtone cannot be longer than 40 sec. Thereby you can use any range of 40 sec or less. For example 0:00 to 0:40 or 0:21 to 1:01, 1:05 to 1:15 and etc. Then click Ok.
3. Right-click the song again and choose 'Convert to AAC format'. In the list with your song will appear another one, which will be your future ringtone. It has the length that you chose earlier in step 2.
4. Right-click the future ringtone and select 'Show in Internet Explorer'. It will open 'My Computer'.
4. Now you should change the format of the song. Replace .m4a extension to .m4r manually. Just change "a" to "r".
5. Double-click your own ringtone in the 'My Computer' window. Itunes will open it and play the sound. Now you should synchronize your iPhone with iTunes.
